My notes are pretty scant on this wine because it impressed so cleanly. I have the words “beautiful weight and composure” underlined. It tastes of grilled beaches and smoked bacon, the flavours flowing evenly throughout. There’s a bit of grip to the finish too, which is pleasing. In short, as an 11-year-old chardonnay, it’s impressive.
