Langi Shiraz is a revered benchmark for cool climate Australian Shiraz. From the fruit of old vines planted on our isolated vineyard in 1969, this landmark wine reveals the vibrant synergy between site and variety. The secret of what makes Langi Shiraz great lies in the unique character of the vines. The Langi Old Block shiraz vineyard dips and weaves across the landscape, proffering parcels of fruit of extreme complexity and stunning finesse. Each of these parcels is selectively harvested and then fermented separately to capture their inimitable qualities at their peak.

This 2015 vintage has been carefully cellared to harness its full potential of flavour development, ready for your enjoyment now.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Glowing core of red and blue fruit.

Nose

The 2015 Langi Shiraz delivers an intense bouquet of red, blue and purple fruits entwined with complex spices and deeply evocative perfume scents.

Palate

Violets, fragrant herbs and black pepper elevate the fruit, and a gentle peatiness brings a savoury freshness to the palate. The structure is ephemeral, fine and intricate; acid and tannin combine seamlessly to set a framework that combines mouth-watering minerality with a silky, sandy tannin.

Cellar

The 2015 Langi Shiraz is a complex and multi-layered wine that is both intense and elegant, with long-term cellaring potential that is the hallmark of Langi Shiraz. Drink now until 2050
